It’s best to take zinc sulfate 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals unless it causes stomach upset, in which case it can be taken with food. Avoid taking it with milk, cheese, or bran-rich foods for better effectiveness. Also, avoid alcohol and caffeine-containing drinks like tea, coffee, and energy drinks during the course, as they may reduce the effectiveness of the medicine.
